About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Jurnal Anoteros is an academic journal that publishes original research papers, critical reviews, and conceptual studies in the fields of Christian theology and Christian education. The journal seeks to advance interdisciplinary dialogue between theology, education, and practical ministry, with a particular emphasis on contextual perspectives relevant to the global and Indonesian church.

The journal welcomes contributions from scholars, theologians, educators, researchers, and practitioners addressing a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

  1. Christian Theology. Research focusing on the systematic and biblical foundations of Christian faith and ethics, including systematic and Biblical Theology, Christian Ethics and moral theology, hermeneutics, and theological methodology
  1. Pastoral Theology. Studies exploring the theoretical and practical dimensions of pastoral ministry, such as: Pastoral counseling and contextual pastoral approaches, Leadership and church management, Liturgy, homiletics, and church law
  1. Church Growth and Mission. Research examining the dynamics of church life and mission in various cultural contexts, including: Evangelism and missiology, Contextualization and intercultural theology, Congregational empowerment and community transformation
  1. Christian Education. Empirical and theoretical works on Christian educational practices and pedagogy, especially: Catechetical and congregational education, Christian education in formal schooling contexts, Pre-marital counseling and family formation, Curriculum and instructional design in Christian education

Jurnal Anoteros encourages submissions that integrate interdisciplinary approaches, employ contextual theological reflection, and contribute to the development of contextualized Christian thought and educational practice. Manuscripts may adopt qualitative, quantitative, or mixed research methodologies and should demonstrate scholarly rigor and theological significance.


Peer Review Policy

Article that will be published in Anoteros: Jurnal Teologi is carried out through "double-blind peer review" by considering the aspects explained in Focus and Scope. Editors and reviewers provide constructive feedback on the evaluation results to the author.


Peer Review Process

Each submitted manuscript will go through a peer-review process with the following stages:

  1. The editor performs a technical and administrative assessment of the submitted manuscript.
  2. The editor continues the manuscripts that passed the technical and administrative assessment for the blind review process. Manuscripts that do not pass technical and administrative judgments will be returned to the author with notes from editors (rejected or revision required).
  3. Reviewers review the script and make recommendations.
  4. The editor submits the results of the assessment and recommendation to the author along with the deadline for revision.
  5. The editor will send a ready-to-publish copy to the author before it is issued for approval and cannot be withdrawn.
  6. Before articles are published, the editor sends the article to the copyediting section.

Plagiarism Screening

The editors will run a plagiarism check using Turnitin for each submitted manuscript. If a manuscript has over 20% similarity based on the Turnitin check result, the manuscript will be sent back to the author to be revised.
